তোর প্রেরণার কি বা দরকার
প্রেরণা রে তুই সবাকার,
শরীর মাঝারে যে কোনো অংশ
অসুখে যাহাই হয়েছে ধ্বংস
তোর কাছে নাই ছাড়,
নিখুত লক্ষ্যে পৌছাস সেথা
প্রতিদিন বারে বার,
এ যুগের শেষ প্রমুখ শল্যকার
প্রিয় তুই সবাকার।
মনে পড়ে সেই জীবন সকালে
ব্যাবচ্ছেদ এর ঘরে,
গ্ৰানি ও রিফের গিঁটের মহিমা
সুতো দিয়ে বারেবারে
বোঝাতি নতুন করে।
আমরা তখনো শল্যক্রীড়ার
অ আ ক খ শিখিনিতো,
তর্ক করিয়া বলেছি তবুও
সারজারি কোরো না কো।
মেডিসিন করো,আরামে চেয়ারে
প্রাকটিস করো বসে
টাকার গদীতে গড়াগড়ি যাও
অন্যরে দেখো হেসে।
এমন একদিন আসিবে জগতে
সারজারি নাহি রবে,
ঔষধ দিয়ে সকল রোগের
উপশম করা যাবে।
কিন্ত রে তুই ঘোষালের পুই
শুনলিনা কোনো কথা,
গ্ৰেগরী পেকের সাথে মজে গেলি
ছুড়ি কাঁচি নিয়ে যথা।
আজকে রে তুই সবার প্রেরনা
জেনারেল সার্জেন।
যে কোনা স্থিতিতে কেটে কুটে খাড়া
করে দিবি রোগীজন।
কাজ করিবার ক্ষমতা রে তোর
বলে শেষ নাহি হয়,
ভগবানে স্মরি বলি হে শ্রীহরি
যেন এমনিই সদা রয়।

Exemplary work you are
doing on your end.
You have brought
your skill afar
In that sense you are
one of our star(s).
Unbelievably brave a
surgeon you are,
Your knives have saved
lives in distant corner,
from the villages and
in smaller towns,
They come in hordes
you bless them down.
Refused and turned down
from excellent places,
you gave them hope,
those hopeless cases.
Giant of a surgeon,
leave no trace,
Any remorse or sadness
at heart with grace.
You are a surgeon smart
acquired the skill as well as art.
We are proud of your deeds,
as also the patients
you served indeed.
The places where you are
leaving your mark,
Will remember long after
you left your work.
Is that not enough
to pep you up,
Dear Bhaskar please
chear yourself up.
Each of us is borne to serve
Mankind in different ways
with different garb.

Bhaskar broke through
the abdominal cocoon,
As a diligent and burrowing
surgical raccoon.
Patiently cut through the
Innumerable knots,
and adhesionolysis as
is progress was stopped.
Side to side and end to end
anastomosis of all kind,
Taxed his ingenuity and kept him in bind.
Sweats dripped over his masked forehead,
Dense fibrosis was preventing going ahead.
Remembering his guru’s
swagger,
Bhaskar yielded his sugical dagger,
was afraid of short gut challenge,
In rural bengal that could be ruinous revenge.
He successfuly removed the fibrosis dense
Using radio frequency knife at length,
Did he spread steroid solution a bit,
to keep the fibrosis in retreat!
Or he decided to offer in future,
Anti fibrotic therapy in some stature.
How many cocoons in the abdomen till now,
Bhaskar dealt with his know how,
We the friends are eager to learn
We are proud of ‘Bhaskar sun’
Intention was to put this japanese ‘Sun’.
As Bhaskar really means a blazing sun.
